Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
We are located on US77 in Lott, Tx, which is about 25 miles south of Waco.
Do you have any barns in-stock that I can look at?
Yes, we normally have a number of barns here on the display lot that you can come and see in person, and get a better feel for how we build our barns.
Do you deliver to my area?
We deliver these barns all over Texas, and also to the surrounding states. We have delivered these to Florida, California, Wyoming, and even all the way to Hawaii!
Do you build these barns on my property?
We offer onsite construction if needed, but normally we deliver these barns to your site fully assembled and ready to use. A flat, level area is required to set your barn on.
Are these barns made out of wood?
Yes, our specialty is building these barns using Cypress board & batten siding. The Cypress is a long lasting, durable wood and will keep your barn cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter than a regular metal barn. Our oak kick board also protects the horses from kicking thru the wall and injuring themselves.
I like my barn, so can I take it with me if I relocate in 5 years?
Our standard barns are built to be moved, and yes, we offer these services. Contact us to schedule having your barn moved to a new location down the road, or even out of state!
What is a finished out cabin?
Our finished out cabins are fully assembled and ready for you to furnish and move into. You will need to have a local plumber and electrician to connect the cabin to your existing plumbing and power source. You will also want to have a flat, level area prepared on which to set the cabin.
How big are your cabins?
We offer sizes ranging from 12×20 up to 16×36. These are normally a one room cabin with a bathroom, but our larger cabins can have a separate bedroom as well.
Do you offer financing?
We sell our products on a cash basis, although we do offer a Rent-To-Own program for some of our smaller barns. We recommend that you check with your local bank if you would like to finance your building project.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Contact us to schedule an appointment, or feel free to swing by if you are in our area.
What kind of roof and siding options do you offer for your barns and cabins?
We offer a variety of roof styles — including metal panels, architectural shingles, and standing-seam systems — all built with durability in mind and engineered for Texas weather. Siding options include the traditional 1×10 Cypress board & batten (our specialty), as well as Western Cedar. You can choose standard or custom colors and finishes based on your design preference.
Can I add windows, doors, lofts or other custom features to a barn or cabin?
Yes — all our portable barns, shed-row barns, aisle barns and cabins can be customized with add-ons such as windows, sliding doors, Dutch doors, lofts, tack rooms, porches, overhangs, and built-in storage. During the build consultation we’ll review the options and show you how your custom features affect cost, timeline, and delivery.
What kind of foundation or site preparation do I need before delivery?
For most of our portable structures, a flat, level pad is all that’s required. We build our barns on pressure-treated 6×6 skids to allow them to arrive fully assembled. Larger structures with significant overhangs or aisle barns may require concrete piers or a shallow pad. We’ll inspect your site and provide detailed guidance before delivery so you’re fully prepared.
How do you handle delivery and placement of the building on my site?
Once your structure is built, we transport it to your site and use our delivery crew and equipment to place it in the exact location you choose. Because the buildings are portable, minimal site work is needed and most arrive ready to use immediately. If access is limited or the building is large, we’ll coordinate with you to plan the best delivery route and placement strategy.
How long will my barn or cabin last and what kind of maintenance is required?
With proper care and maintenance our structures are built to last decades. Cypress siding naturally resists rot and insects — but we still recommend inspecting for wear, cleaning the roof and gutters, checking fasteners annually, and re-staining or painting every few years depending on exposure. Performing routine maintenance ensures your investment stays in great condition and retains structural integrity.
